Founder and Vice-President
Founder and Vice-President of Perciba Incorporated and the owner of Spokane International Translation. She is a native bilingual of Spanish and English, and holds a B.A. in Spanish Literature from Eastern Washington University where she was an honor student. Marta is a Washington State Court Certified Spanish Interpreter, and is a State Certified Medical and Social Service Interpreter. She has a special understanding of the issues involved in successful translations and interpretation between two different cultures. Although born in Spokane and a US citizen, she spent most of her life in Colombia.
While raising her Family in Colombia, Marta was actively involved in public relations for the diplomatic corps through the US Embassy, the International Red Cross, was President of the Women’s Club of Bogotá, Vice-President of the American Society of Bogotá, and managed a small business. After returning to Spokane in 1989, she became actively involved in the community, and held positions as Executive Director of the Cheney Chamber of Commerce, Founder and Vice-President of the Hispanic Business and Professional Association, and Board Member of the United Way of Spokane County. She is a graduate of Leadership Spokane, and worked for the Spokane Chamber of Commerce. Marta has been a professional translator and interpreter since 1989.
